StrengthsFinder™ Assessment and Coaching
Don't Waste Another Day
Probably the single most important reason why individuals, teams and companies struggle to reach their full potential is the traditional fallacy that in order to be successful you need to fix your weaknesses. As a result people waste years and decades trying to become better at what they struggle with and don't enjoy, often completely neglecting their natural strengths and talents which makes them unique and potentially highly effective.
The futility of this approach had been revealed by more than 40 years of research among millions of people around the globe by the Gallup Organization. This research has proven conclusively that the best-led organizations know that the most direct path to individual, team, and organizational improvement begins with an investment in their employees' greatest talents. The key to success is not to focus on improving weaknesses, but to discover what's naturally right with people, and then build on that (watch the video "Marcus Buckingham Presents the Business Case for Strengths").
Discover and Use Your Unique Strengths
More than four decades of studying human performance enabled Gallup to identify the 34 most common talents and develop the highly acclaimed Clifton StrengthsFinderTM assessment (see list of 34 talents at the bottom of this page ). This assessment helps people discover and describe their talents which, if developed, becomes 'strengths'.
Using Gallup's online assessment tool followed by a one-on-one session with a certified StrengthsFinder coach, SLI offers you the opportunity to find out what YOUR personal strengths are and to develop them in order to become more effective and fulfilled in your personal and professional life. This excellent development tool has already helped more than 8 million people in more than 100 countries increase their efficiency while deriving more joy and fulfillment from what they do.
3 Levels of StrengthsFinder
The Strategic Leadership Institute is accredited to provide StrengthsFinderTM assessments and coaching on three levels - individuals, teams and executive.
- Individual TOP 5: After you completed the online assessment an accredited coach helps you to understand your TOP 5 natural strengths, the dynamics between these strengths and how you can develop and use them to become more effective and experience more personal fulfillment in work and life. Coaching in person or via Skype/video call.
- Teams TOP 5: Each member of a team completes the personal assessment and is then coached individually. This is followed by two one-day teambuilding sessions with an accredited Level 2 coach. During these sessions team members are helped to gain a better understanding for each others' strengths and how each individual's unique abilities can be harnessed to create synergy and improve team performance.
-
Executive FULL 34: Leaders not only need to understand and focus on developing their own strengths, they also need to guide and manage the development of others. This option includes a FULL 34 strengths report that lists the individual leader's natural strength from strongest to weakest. The results and their implications form the basis for a minimum of two executive coaching sessions with a qualified Level 3 coach.
Process for INDIVIDUAL Assessments and Coaching
- After ordering an individual assessment with SLI (email or phone +27125676512) you will receive a unique CSF access code once we've received proof of your payment.
- You then complete the CSF online assessment (it takes about 40 minutes to complete in the comfort of your office or home) and receive a report in PDF-format of your Top 5/Full 34 personal strengths (out of a possible 34).
- A SLI coach will then help you to understand each of your strengths and their implications (face-to-face or via Skype), discussing how your unique combinations of strengths can be developed and applied for more impact and satisfaction in your personal and professional life (duration of coaching session approx 90-120 minutes).
- SLI also offers additional coaching for leaders and others interested in honing and sharpening specific areas of their skills set; such as leadership proficiency, communication skills, cultural engagement and negotiation skills.
Process for TEAM Assessments and Coaching
- After ordering the required number of team assessments with SLI (email or phone +27125676512) you will receive a unique CSF access code for each team member.
- Individual team members then complete the CSF online assessment (it takes about 40 minutes in the comfort of your office or home) and each receives a report in PDF-format of their Top 5 personal strengths (out of a possible 34).
- A SLI coach will then help each team meber to understand their own strengths and the implications thereof (face-to-face coaching or via Skype). Each team member will be helped to see how their unique combinations of strengths can be developed and applied for more impact and satisfaction in their personal and professional life (duration of coaching session approx 90-120 minutes).
- Once all team members have undergone their individual strengths-coaching, the team is brought together for a 2-day off-site teambuilding breakaway. An accredited SLI facilitator then presents the team strengths profile and help team members gain a better understanding for each others' strengths and how individual abilities can be harnessed to create synergy and improve team performance. These team breakaways can be tailormade to suit the needs of the client by including modules on topics such as team performance, motivation, conflict management, etc..
Whether you're part of a large organization where personal improvement means progress and success, or an individual wishing to become more efficient and have greater impact on those around you, this is the opportunity to stop worrying about your weaknesses and start moving forward by maximizing your unique talents and strengths.
