Team Development

Teambuilding exercises do not build teams, they create insights, and when these insights are applied they result in stronger and more efficient teams. SLI’s teambuilding exercises are aimed at motivating participants to actually change their behaviors and habits, as opposed to merely enjoying a day or two of outdoor fun. With this goal in mind our teambuilding exercises typically consist of a combination of games and/or adventure activities followed by reflection and discussion which culminate in suggested practical applications of how lessons learnt from these experiences can improve workplace behavior and teamwork.

Clients can choose from several formats (1-3 days), venues and preferred activities to ensure that unique needs and requirements are met. Clients also have the option to combine a teambuilding exercise with short seminars on cultural awareness, communication skills, presentations skills, and leadership.

Team Development Training Programs

We offer the following programs dealing with the development of effective high-performace teams (can be delivered with teambuilding exercises or as independant training events):

  • Building Strengths-based Teams (helping teams to build synergy by focusing in the interaction between individual member's natural strengths. The first part of this program consist of an online StrengthsFinder assessments followed by individual strengths-coaching for each team member).Developing Teams for Excellence (equipping leaders and team members to develop teams to perform at constant levels of excellence. It is optional to include the StrengthsFinder and/or DISC360 assessments in this program).
  • Developing Cultural Competency (focus on leading in cultural diverse environments. Includes a web-based assessment that provides valuable insight on how to successfully interact with people from different cultures).
  • Managing Personalities At Work (each individual is unique and leaders who understand that perform better. This program makes use of the StrengthsFinder and/or DISC360 assessments and equips leaders to manage individuals accordingly).
  • Motivating For Excellence (helping leaders understand the principles of motivation and how to motivate teams effectively).
