Manie Bosman

Manie (Founder and CEO of SLI) is a leadership development and strategic foresight practitioner with more than 18 years of leadership experience in various African countries. Apart from heading SLI he is also a learning consultant for Transnational Management Associates (TMA World), a global management development team that delivers consulting, training and talent development solutions to many of the world's most forward-thinking organizations. Based in Pretoria, South Africa, Manie has extensive experience in leadership coaching, corporate training, cross-cultural interaction, strategic foresight, public speaking (member of PSASA and GSF), mass media consulting, communication, and team development. His interests and fields of continued study include neuroleadership and future foresight.

He is a certified StrengthsFinder™ and DISC360™ Coach and holds a Masters of Arts in Organizational Leadership. Manie has been involved in successful leadership development projects in a wide variety of cultures and settings ranging from rural environments in Africa to organizations and groups in developed countries. For more than a decade, Manie has been a speaker and presenter at seminars and workshops in several African countries as well as in Madagascar and in the Ukraine. He has a passion for helping people develop to their full potential and believes that leadership is the key determiner of success in any venture, group or organization. Manie has been married to René - a successfull writing and editing specialist - since 1989 and they have two sons.

Andrew Brough

Andy is an international learning consultant and organisational development practitioner based in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a facilitator, lecturer and broadcaster, Andy's wide ranging professional experience includes over 20 years as a communications and training consultant. Andy has invested more than half of that time working as an Executive Business coach specialising in Sales & Marketing and Leadership related subjects. He is well known in the industry for his work teaching Stakeholder Collaboration and Commercial Negotiation. He has lectured on Principles of Strategic Marketing, Professional Selling and Negotiation and Influencing Results on a number of MBA programmes. As a qualified Chartered Marketer - the top professional marketing designation in South Africa - Andy consults for and with many international blue chip companies around issues pertaining to individual and team development. His research and facilitation in both an African and European context means that he brings a professional understanding to issues around diversity, teamwork and leadership.

As a student of Leadership & Management, Andy has spent his career trying to understand the keys to successful leadership and organizational development and he has had the privilege of sharing these insights to audiences around the world through keynote speeches, seminars, face-to-face contact sessions and webinars and teleconferences. Andy is a learning consultant for TMA World, a global management development team and is often asked to form part of the external faculty at a number of universities. He has designed and delivered a wide variety of programs ranging from basic Life Skills through to Global Corporate Branding through South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa, and as far a field as Malaysia, Germany, England, Eastern Europe, Brazil and the USA. As a big picture-bottom line thinker, Andy facilitates around organizational and management development in Strategic Planning, as well as Transformational Leadership, Personal Effectiveness, and Stakeholder Relationships. His client base is made up of some of the world's top brands as well as smaller to medium enterprises who all testify to the benefit of working with Andy and his team.

Dries Lombaard

Dries is without doubt South Africa’s foremost expert in strengths and talent development. He received his initial training as a Strengths Performance Coach (Levels 1-3) and in Strengths Based Leadership at the Gallup University in Omaha, Nebraska, and also studied at the Universities of Stellenbosch and Pretoria. He is currently CEO of the Talent Mosaic and African Mosaic, the driving force for the Strengths movement in South Africa. Under his guidance thousands of Strengths-coaches (at different levels) have been trained and equipped over the last decade.

Dries is also an executive board member of the Strategic Leadership Institute. His interest in leadership development was kindled from an early age and he has been actively involved in leadership development and corporate training for various organizations over the past 20 years. Dries also has corporate senior management experience in the fields of Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management. Widely travelled, Dries organized various Leadership Tours internationally, taking leaders to Leadership Summits and Conferences in Europe and the USA. Dries is passionate about people development, investing his time with leaders and managers on all spheres of life.

Nico Liebenberg

Nico Liebenberg is an Executive Coach, Motivational Teacher and Business Psychologist with more than 23 years of organisational- and leadership transformation experience. Nico facilitates and teaches on organisation transformation, shifting paradigms, managing change, becoming self-aware, building balanced relationships, re-connecting with personal purpose, communicating effectively, and emotional intelligence.

Nico specialises on designing and facilitating processes of human and organisational transformation. He is actively involved in transforming South African companies by facilitating Strategic planning and top management team buildings, presenting emotional intelligence training to marketing and sales people and implementing strategic leadership development programs. 

Nico is a gifted speaker and the author of the books, 'Kleipot, wie's jou God' and 'Poetry and Paradigms'. He has been married for 21 years and the couple have five children.

John Jones

John is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of SA, Director- and Organizational Development Practitioner and Lecturer in Entrepreneurial studies. He is the managing director of Nathan Wells Consulting, a company devoted to the development of leaders globally. He has extensive Leadership Development experience in numerous ways through Leadership Conferences and seminars, Entrepreneurial Development initiatives and programmes, and coaching programmes. John has personally been involved with the presenting and structuring of such programs, including work for/ in the banking sector, the private sector, church organizations, para-statal organizations and other stakeholders (i.e Gauteng Department of Economic Development, Unashamedly Ethical Campaign and the Empowerment Academy.) Apart from the leadership programme, John has also been involved in International outreach-projects and local social upliftment.

John also co-ordinates the MBA-program of Regent University, USA in South Africa, and participates in the Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship School’s local work and its business development. John holds a LLB-degree from the University of Pretoria and a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, USA.

Marius Oosthuizen

Marius (Founder and Principle at CUSP Consulting) is a strategic foresight practitioner with a background in project management, leadership development and training. He has presented at academic conferences, is a published writer on the topics of social cohesion and social change, and has appeared as policy commentator for the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA) on challenges facing the South African Mining Industry. Based in Pretoria, South Africa, Marius works on solving complex problems, using systems thinking, scenario and strategic planning, forecasting and change management. He is particularly interested in fostering transformational change and leadership development, at personal, organizational and national levels.

Marius is in the final stages of completing a Masters in Strategic Foresight and completed undergraduate studies in leadership, ethics and systematic theology. He believes that change begins with leaders, and is passionate about equipping change-makers to be thought leaders in their field of expertise. Using the methodologies of the Futures profession, Marius helps leaders and organizations thrive in the midst of changing environments. His focus is the creation of strategy that is future ready. He has been married to Carina - a senior legal advisor to the Development Bank of South Africa (DBSA) - for eight years, and has one son.
